Mona Promotes Healthy Leadership
Elizabeth Kearney Women’s Leadership Program
For many years Mona has enjoyed the opportunity to be involved with the YWCA Elizabeth Kearney Women’s Leadership Development Program.
An alternative wellness entrepreneur, Mona Ceniceros opened Sun Moon Yoga nine years ago.

It’s Mona’s passion for including consideration of the body in EVERY endeavor of life that she shares. “Being physically fit is the most empowering thing I know of. Radiant health is essential to enjoying power and wealth. Sick people make weak leaders, and some people let their jobs make them sick - enough said,” laughs Ceniceros.
Mona introduces the Power of Movement at each meeting. She gets everyone out of chairs, stretching, breathing and thinking about including health in leadership goals.
Participant Evaluation Comments:
“I love Mona! She inspires us to take care of our bodies first.”
“Loved it! What a creative idea to put into a professional and personal leadership seminar.”
“Mona is a must . . . She makes that mind body connection, moves the blood around, which after sitting and absorbing so much is always helpful,“
“How does that much spunk come from a bitsy little lady? What a gem!”
Mutual admiration is Mona’s response, “What an honor to be allowed to share leadership development with these highly motivated female leaders in our community,” she says.
